You know that could be a great reason to do a quick trip to Frankfurt, see the release at the auto show and maybe a quick visit to Oktoberfest????
I personally would be talking to your dealer NOW about trading in for the X6. They will either take your current X5 off your hands as part of the trade (eliminates your problems) or want to reevaluate the trade when you do actualy changeover. If they take it now you need to obviously go and find a rental, but as the rental cost is offset by your lease payments being finished, it's a sideways move (ish), (oh, and depends how 'spoiled' ya get!

Do a deal now and get better trade, swing lease payments over to a rental and choose what ya want!
Your worst case scenario; If you don't like the X6 when it arrives, switch to the X5!
