From memory the night vision provides an infa red image; so it's useful to identify early animals/people that otherwise you'd potentially see too late. (I could be wrong so someone feel free to correct) I believe they have this option on the 7 series.

Did you manage to get any price concessions from your dealer? After a struggle I managed to get £500 - not brilliant given the spec I'm looking at is coming in at 65k
