No, you are wrong. I don't know what a "Bomb with a depleted uranium shell" is by the way. That makes no sense. The depleted uranium you are apparently referring to as a hazard comes mainly from 155mm tank penetrators and 30 mm cannon aircraft penetrators. After an Iraqi tank is hit by a D.U. round for example, there is a residual black colored dust on that vehicle from the resulting fire etc. This is a very fine dust that is possibly suspended in the air and inhaled. Also, a fire resulting from a DU hit may also contain DU hazards drifting downwind. There also may be remnants of DU penetrators on the ground after an attack. The primary hazard from the above examples is a heavy metal toxicity not a radioactive hazard. Only once it enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, or into open wounds/cuts is it then a medical issue. There's no gamma radiation hazard as that from an RDD.
