I had a same problem. Dealer replaced rear window regulator and managed to break noise & moisture cancelling shield inside of rear door during installation procedure. After dealer visit, water came in directly from inside of rear doorL

Luckily I noticed this one immediately, removed door panel and made emergency “fix” for noise & moisture cancelling shield. Dealer ordered a new shield and it was fixed on yesterday during inspection II service.

BTW: Based on dealer’s comments, this is very common and known problem (X3 and also with 500 series) like sunroof leaks...unfortunately.

Yes, that's what happened to me they call it the vapor pannel.Replace and resealed now all is fine.
