That's a tough call. I think you will find the S5 tame, refined, quiet, soft and plush as compared to the Vette. But I also think you will greatly appreciate the quality improvements.
I do agree, that you will most probably miss the HP, but I'm not sure how you drive the Z to begin with. Are you a lead foot? Do you track the car?
Either way, it seems as though you have put some thought in it. If there is any advice I can help give, please don't hesitate to ask.

I track the vette every now and then, nothing to crazy though. I'm an occasional lead foot
. But the vette isn't my DD, it's more of a weekend car. I've had a lot of cars in my day, and I guess I've satisfied my "need to have a vette before I die" requirement lol! As I said above, the vette sits for 5 months every year, and it's not really a car that I can take everywhere, so its use is somewhat limited. Don't get me wrong, I still really like the Z, and there's nothing wrong with it, I'm just looking for a different kind of ride that I can use more, take more places, etc.
