They look "better" to some; if installed properly and very carefully
bedded in, they may perform better than oem, under track/extreme
conditions. For driving around town and in 99% of regular use, you
will probably not notice a diff., other than possible reduced brake dust.

If 30 bucks a rotor is a deal breaker, there is absolutley nothing "wrong"
with oem rotors.
