I'm not able to find out why this mishap occurred and the qoute is not yet finalized, so it might end up being "reasonable".

As of now BMW does not seem to have a kit. Perhaps in a year or two - or not at all. In any case I cannot wait. But I also do not want to pay $5000 for the parts. So, how to get the parts at a reasonable price. What is that? I'm happy to pay half - $2500 + labour!

Hopefully you, or someone who reads this, have access to or can obtain a pricelist for the necessary parts to retrofit. I need to know the retail price - not the customer price.
Perhaps I can import the parts and have them retrofit.
