To be honest I do not think my clutch take up is any different from when I took delivery of the X two years ago with 36k on it. So I think it might be ok. I was wondering what the life expectancy of a X clutch is?
David have you replaced your CV boots? Water pump? From my readings I gather these are going to go next on my X.

Even with all the problems I still like the car. After my first out of pocket $1400. for new bushings, ball joints and control arms at 40K I went on Craigslist and bought a 89,000 mile 1 owner 93 miata for $1200. and have been using the miata to commute to work 70 miles round trip a day.
The miata has not cost me anything but $20. oil changes and it now has 110,000 miles. NOT a dime. I use the X only when I need to take my daughter and partner out at the same time. Otherwise it sits in the driveway. I try to run the car once a month on a short trip (40 miles) otherwise I have not used the X regularly in over a year.
