Make sure all your connections are firm and inspect the pins on those harness jacks to make sure none are bent. Those 2 harnesses need to be lined up so each of the pins goes into the respective receptacle. You mentioned 3 connections?
Stupid thing to point out, but they are color coded
. Do you have the gauges themselves working? Will the needles move?
