If the nav came from another vehicle, then it needs to adapt itself to your car. To do that, go for a drive on the autobahn / motorway for at least 15min, driving at around 60mph / 100kmph. After a few minutes the nav will be calibrated to your wheel size (it adjusts the calibration valus to match your vehicle speed to GPS calculated vehicle speed).
