i have used meguiars cleaner wax as i was afraid to use what appeared to be harsher metal polishes.
i have not washed the truck since waxing the boards so i dont know the result.
fwiw the bmw rep was extremely uncooperative.
i put up the poll to try to get some anectodal evidence that these are a problem for numerous buyers.
