NE1 with a 3.0 motor X that has observed the fan belt seeming to run a bit eccentric as it spins? By that I mean, I can see "some" misalingment as the belt spins at idle, looking at it from the side of the belt.
I am also hearing a "rumbling noise" that seems to eminate from the fan belt hub during idle, (both cold and fully warmed.) Probably connected, but I also hear some of that old fashioned "cricket chirping", seemingly from front fan area, upon throttle tip in, when Cold/not fully warmed up.
I suppose I have some situs going on there, but just wonder if anyone with some mileage/age on their 3.0 IL 6 motors had experienced this?
I still have about 2 1/2 weeks of orig Warr and same time frame of Ext Maint., left; I may have to do another Stlr run. My concern is they either didn't notice it last week, didn't care, or won't address it until belt or pulley fails. (Outa of warr/maint, by then, I suspect.)
I think I'm on track and don't expect any poster to "fix it" by posting, but was hoping you had experienced this and had it fixed Before failure or, had some other diagnosis ideas. Thanks.
