Well, since I started it all when I mentioned the surely varied backgrouds (
look here) of the X5World membership, I guess it's only fair for me respond:
- Migrated to the U.S. (northern NJ) in 1980 because - at the time - it was customary for a 13 year old follow his/her parents when they moved.
- After high school, I joined the U.S. Army. Served to the Gulf War in 1990.
- Got out of the military (Sergeant with honorable discharge) in 1992 and did an apprenticeship with Daimler Benz in Bremen, Germany. Returned to the U.S. in 1994.
- Graduated fom UNC Charlotte with a degree in English and a minor in Professional/Technical Writing in 1998. Been working in the field ever since 1997. Currently researching graduate school options.
- Met my future wife in 1998. She became my wife in September of 2001.
- Currently, very fortunately living the "American Dream": live in a suburb of Charlotte with said wife, her two kids from a previous marriage, two dogs, and one obnoxious cat.
Juan
