Let me ask you a question: If you did indeed believe the war was useless (i.e. you thought you were being ordered to kill people for no reason), what would you do? Would you refuse to fight and risk court-martial? Or would you follow orders and fight in the war anyway, perhaps killing people for no reason (at least from your perspective)??
