You are quite correct however, US BT spec'd car have VR "enabled on" at the factory (if they have the BT ULF module).

UK spec'd cars do not, VR is disabled as the default, so you normally need to go to the dealer to enable it.

With Jochens navcoder you can enable the VR part yourself, (even if the ULF is not "MIT SES"), this means that pretty much any BT ULF can have VR enabled, this is something the dealers say is not possible.
