Mine will reregister at fillup, but stops just below 1/4 tank as I use it. I have ran out of gas probably 4 times this year (needless to say I need to replace my fuel filter).

If you pull up the rear seat bottom, you will see some wires that run into some rubber boots - I believe these are going to the fuel guage sending units.

If you proceed with this, please let us know how it goes. I really want to get mine fixed.
