Must be time for us old bastards to do their usual reminiscing crap...
I was 10 and in 5th grade. It was "big news", comparatively speaking,
as their was not much "news" then, except for the newspapers.
(We got our first TV around Xmas time that year.
)
Mrs. Hopkins, my 5th grade teacher brought in her fancy clock radio,
and we got to listen to some of the hourly news reports that day...
We all thought it was amazing and my 'Rents thought it was another
shot by "those Commie bastards", lol!
Time flies, regardless.
