Thanks, MD! I'll check out Dish. Now that I'm getting closer, I need to do a lot of comparison shopping -- traditional telephone vs. VOIP, DTV vs. Dish, Sony LCD TV vs. a DLP/LCOS set

How's your TV shopping going? Sounds like you have a good amount of time to watch prices before you head down south. I don't want to pull the trigger to early on the TV, but I'm already noticing price drops on rear projection and plasmas in the Sunday circulars (not that I'm committed to the BBs and CCs of the world). I'm sure there will be some additional Labor Day savings. However, I would probably save more if I wait for Thanksgiving. But do I have that kind of patience -- I will have been in the house close to a month with my current TV!

Also, DISH, Direct's competitor has had a PVR system for a long time, (I have one of the earlier systems w/only 45 hrs of hard disc recording, but we love its simplicity and ease.) The newer DISH offering is up to a 100 hrs now, I believe. Not trying to sell you DISH vs Direct; look at both and decide.
Our local Sat guy sells both and humps neither one; the customer deicides.
