TrueDelta calculation is right, your quote is not.
on a 54,000 base price invoice is only 8% less and not 9% as you generally stated.
For people calculating manually, Base price is discounted only 8% on both 4.8 and 3.0 models, while options are about 9% on average.
the more options you take the closer you get to 9% discount, but base price is the largest chunk.
the only few options that are discounted even more are the options that are likely to be picked much less often by a consumer such as active steering and HUD.
