On another message board last summer, it was suggested to me that we Floridians deserve this treatment for living here in teh first place, and that the Federal gov should have no involvement in disaster relief for that reason.

Glad to hear you are OK doc. I have a good friend who's a doc in Baton Rouge, who has secured a generator to reopen his practice tomorrow. He expects to work a lot of long days and weekends in the weeks ahead. At times like this, I wish I had gone to med school, so I would feel like I said something real to contribute to the effort.
