Thanks rebound. OK, just for $hits and giggles I installed leopard on another volume and now seems to be working MUCH better (and faster).

I ran some utilities and found one of my hard drives was bunk. My problems with Leopard = bad hard drive. Never had a blue screen like some others have reported. Now it's time to get some work done on the Mac. Leopard is awesome. Good luck Apple bashers!
BTW I run 6 lcd's, 6.5 GB of ram... mainly for multitrack recording and some video stuff.

Using a Griffin powermate is cool with the new Finder (and just about every program I've tried with it)

I also have a Vista machine, but I gravitate towards the mac
