And just to be totally safe, we talked about what we were going to get when the lease on her X3 is up. I made careful mental notes of her comments, let her forget all about it, and then ordered the car she told me she preferred.

While driving around LA I pointed-out different brands/models and solicited her opinion. She prefers BMW. That made it easy in my mind.

In the end I am not shooting blindly and hoping she likes it. It was an educated decision.
