I had no problems with my update and those that shared my family pack (5 macbooks). Most of our Apple User Group members in Maui also installed theirs flawlessly. The Apple forum thread above was about the blue screen problem and how it can be fixed (which they seem to have already). I don't think you would see any users posting their flawless upgrades in that thread. If you read the thread as it unfolded, many of them have about 5 -10 posts each which would explain the LOOOONG thread.

My .10cents but of course you can call me an Apple Fanboy anytime.
I'm just funning you guys...I have a lot of respect for Apple and really considered it for my next system. Especially since I needed to learn another OS like Vista after XP. The deal killer was the lack of support for Blue-Ray and HD-DVD. Now that I've had the weekend to play with Vista I'm happy with the decision. My system is business/pleasure in my home office and the change to Apple would have been drastic and time intensive. Apple's success has kept Microsoft honest (well...at least a little). Had it not been for the popularity and visual coolness of Tiger, Vista and XP before that would have been awful static and dull like previous versions of Windows.

What does crack me up is the fact that Apple Support seemed to come through like most other clueless hardware/software companies. Example...Let's give them bogus excuses until we figure out what is really going on.

Nice to see the hype is just that...Hype.
