Really? Who?

Guiliani and his militant style? What people forget is that before 9/11 he was hated, villified... If he did not like art that was too riske, he'd shut it down. Yes, he handled 9/11 with class, care, and compassion, but he was a VERY unpopular mayor before then. Remember his run for the Senate -- against Hllary -- by the way? He realized he was going to be trounced, so he pulled out of the race half-way through the campaign. (And, by the way, his girlfriend was living with him in the Mayor's mansion... while he was still married!)

Obama? Yeah, he's got charisma, but does he have experience? He's been in politics for... what, four years?

Romney? Go ahead! He's a Democrat (and very John Kerry-like) in Republican clothing. Remember when CA thought they were electing a Republican with the Governator? (By the way, I'm a Democrat, so I don't care. I actually kinda like the guy. Just pointing out that maybe Romney is not as "Red" as he appears.)

Let's think about this: I'll give you that "W" is a horrible prez (one word for you - Iraq; nay, two words for you - Irag and Katrina). He will probably go down in history as one of our worst presidents ever. But his father, despite the fact that he was a little out of touch, is a decent guy, and was a decent president. NO ONE is questioning his decision not to go into Baghdad anymore.

Bill could not keep it in his pants, but the man is brilliant (the most educated president we've ever had), and he genuinely cared about people. He balanced the budget, and took care of the econmy. He also trimmed he government, and increased military spending. (Fiscally, militarily, and gubernatorially, he's the best Republican president we've had in a couple decades.) He is an incredibly capable politician who brought parties to the table to reach consensus, is admired throughout the world, and is now an respected elder stateman. You take Monica away, and Bill would have gone down in history as one of the most brilliant people to live in 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

On a side note: I'm not condoning his extra-marital affairs, but his situation is not uncommon; he just got caught. FDR -- long considered one of our best presidents EVER -- had a mistress for YEARS. She even lived in the White House with him. (She was his "assistant.") It's OK, though, his lesbian wife had a lover also. Our history is littered with presidents who were unfaithful. Again, not saying it's ok; simply that Bill is not the only one.

Now, to Hillary: She's educated, intelligent, strong, and experienced. No, she's not the most genuine person in the world. I'll give you that. And that does concern me -- and many other Americans. But again, I ask you: Who? Who can do better?

It's easy for us to say, "We can do better." But running for (and being) President is a cruel, unfair, exhauting, and impossible task. Dont' agree? Ask Howard Dean, and how one dumbass "arrgghh!" made him the fodder of all jokes, and probably cost him the nomination four years ago. The reason we don't "do better" is because you have to be willing to be put through the ringer. The kitchen is indeed too hot for most people.
