i thought the stock system comes with a 205watt amp?? along w/14 speakers and two subs!!

205 was more than enough back in the days... it doesn't sound bad upgrading the speakers... just now sure if it will be a day vs night difference.. wish i could test them out!

$1850 for upgrading the system is alot... and so is the extra work you described just to save a few bucks!! i dont' really like the idea of people messing around with the wiring, dash, etc..

easier to swap speakers and leave everything else alone..
