Worked for me! My sense is that some punctures can be patched using a plug; others not. Given the expected dealer attitude though, I just went to a service station and had them repair it. Further I did not call it out as a run flat tire. I guess this is an experiment in the making, but a week later and with some high speed driving as well, everything seems fine.
If somebody KNOWS differently and that I have done a BAD thing, I'd welcome a more informed view.....
