The on-line status typically is wrong, but wrong in that it isn't updated often enough and it typically is out of date. I have never heard of a case where the online status was "ahead" of real-Life status, e.g., online might say it's still in production when in real-Life it is sitting at the dealer, but not that it is sitting at the dealer while in Real-Life it is still in production.

I agree that the online status is typically out of date. With this dealership that I'm working with, the cars arrive arrive at their prep center which is in another town. That's why I had to bug the CA; the workers at their prep center had not put it into their system yet...
