No, just updating the nav computer to 4-1/91 will give you 3D perspective mode.

It depends on your MK4, some work with backups some don't, you would have to try it and see, at the end of the day all you've lost is the price of the blank...
Also, no need to shout mate, we can hear you at normal volume
