Intravee II installation on a 2005 M3 Convertible (PICS)
I just finished the install of my Intravee II in a 2005 M3 Convertible. The install was VERY simple overall. I pulled out the
floor and side tray only (as I didn’t have a CD Changer in) and left the iPod in the tray on the driver side.
The install took about 35 minutes total and I had to go through a few trial and errors on getting the Intravee until to fit under
the side tray since I didn’t want to take out the trim. After everything was hooked up, I powered it up and it worked perfect the
first time.
I have not hooked up the serial cable yet since I didn’t have one on hand yet (put in an order at monoprice) and since everything
was working I don’t need the update yet. Ill get around to that later this week.
Here are the pics.
Both units wired up (minus the changer wires) and ready to go

If you pull out the little “plug” the wires can be routed up and over the nut/bolt and into the “compartment” under the tray

Alpine 420i placement is right beside the M Mobilizer kit under the trunk piece

Velcro on the back of the Intravee II unit to hold it to the frame

Velcro to hold the Alpine unit in place (I put the velcro opposite ways for some strange reason??)

Finished product before the trunk lid back on. I also put some velcro on the back of the iPod and on the tray to hold it in place
while driving (girlfriends iPod so not too concerned about messing it up )
