A good place to find used 17" rims is eBay, and the 17" being the smallest rim for the X5 tends to make them fairly inexpensive (the demand is typically for the bigger diameter rims).
Size wise, the OEM BMW 17" rim is 7.5", the offset is ET 40, and the tire size is 235/65 R17
