Anyway, you have the first generation round pin radio. You need the US Equivalent of the "New Generation" radio called the BM53. You will also need a set of adapter cables to connect the BM53's new style plugs to your car's existing wiring. Two other very cool features of the BM53 are that it supports BMW's OE Sirius module (just plug it it), and it also has the Aux input connector.

These are the wiring adapters you will need, along with the BM53. While you are at it, you might as well get the Aux adapter too.
