The DC Government has hired a Collections Company to pursue delinquent tickets, parking, speeding, any ticket. They use traffic and parking tickets as a major source of revenue, you know that. If you try and fight it in court or via
www.parkingticket.com, and it goes to Collections, on purpose or by mistake, you'll have to fight like hell to remove it from your credit report (first hand knowledge of this).
Write that check, ease your mind.
