I'm sure there are some people who don't know that beginning January 1, 2008, OnStar service in the United States and Canada will be available only through vehicles that are capable of operating on the digital cellular network.

There are some folks who have no idea about any of this and if they have analog service surprise..........

So the real deal is that it may be old news to some it is news though and that's why the AP article was dated today.
