I think you will find reliability better than your Volvo having owned a V70R. The R was safe and not bad but in the first year of ownership I had fewer issues with the X5. If you have the XC90 V8 with the Yamaha built engine that is suppose to have even more issues. The MB I can not speak to other than what I have read. Test drive them all.
