I found I had to lighten up on my foot and ease on the throttle with my 2006 4.4 - the computer does not allow you to 'stomp' on it - the computer 'governs' the fuel flow, trying to limit excess flow to improve gas mileage - ease up alittle and enjoy better mileage


OOPS! just noticed where you're coming from - as an ex-NJ, I know your problem - it's a drag race to the next light, right? - there's definitely a slight hesitation that seems to last an eternity when trying to get out into traffic - take a deep breath, let it out slowly, chant "O-o-h-u-u-u-m", and then proceed slowly - it won't win you the 'race', but may help ease up on the ulcer you're developing
