If you buy a CD you have the write to play that CD and even re-sell that CD (the actual CD purchased not a copy) if you like. Making unauthorized duplications is or at least should be illegal.

I agree that purchasing a CD and making duplicate copies for resale is and should be illegal. However, if I purchase a CD and I want to listen to the music that I purchased via iPod (which I also purchased) the only way to do so is to "copy" the CD to a computer where I can sync it to my iPod. This should NOT be be illegal.
