okay..

so what happens is that the seat thinks that the last seat adjustment is the latest and the best preferred by the driver so it keeps it that way.

If you press the M1 button, the seat should come back to the M1 position (meaning , 'okay nevermind about the new adjustment I want the memorized setting back!')

all of this can be done without the key in the ignition.
