Another note on the subject. The technology on both systems is nearly identical to the end user.
One is not really any better than the other.

But having said that, I find the Blu-Ray packaging to be much more pleasing to the eye than it's HD-DVD competitor. There is something very engaging about those blue boxes the dvd comes in. ANd just the term, BLU-RAY sounds much cooler than HD-DVD..

So in terms of branding, BLU-RAY is definitely the winner in my book.
