Back from beautiful
Hilton Head Island. For those who do not know, HHI is a fancy schmancy barrier island off the coast of southern South Carolina. It's between Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA (though closer to Savannah). It is approximately 260 miles from Valencia/Ciardi abode, which we (the X5 and I) covered in three hours flat!
It still amazes me how well and easily this car "cruises" at 90-95 MPH -- which, if you do some quick math is pretty much what I was doing (traffic-permitting) to cover that distance in three hours. Now, she badly needs a bath.
Anyway, if anyone is ever down in this area, I recommend you visit HHI. It's pricey, but worth it. No crowds, great eating, wonderful beaches, and some amazing resorts.
