My point was that the sanctity of marriage has ALREADY been diminished. Sort of like when Britney Spears got married to her high school sweetheart love of her life in Las Vegas, then had the marriage annulled when she got home a few days later. Whoops, she did it again...
Eddie Murphy and Tracy Edmonds went to all that trouble and expense, then blew it off when they got back to the States because the marriage wasn't recognized anyway. Is it a big surprise that the marriage is over after two weeks? Not to anyone with half a brain.
Why even bother with marriage at all? If it's not important, or doesn't mean anything, why go through it?
