Think this may be a coding issue. In NavCoder under Nav Coding, there is an option setting for 'Radio Splitscreen Enabled (New Gen Radio BM54/BM53)'. It is possible your coding has gone. In the service menu under Telematics, is your vehicle VIN number, vehicle colour etc still there, and is your vehicle type correct, or has it gone back to blank VIN and vehicle type of 7er E38?
You may need to either get the nav recoded at the dealer or better still, get NavCoder and an i-bus board and do it yourself
