I've had the car checked by the dealership incase it was a bearing but all put it down too tyre noise - I'm not very happy as my old X5 was much much quieter (non run flats)
The noise also seems loudest from front drivers side, but I do believe it can be heard in passenger side too !!
Whats the noise you hear ?? is it simular to my explanation above ??
Would like to hear more above your X5 problem to compare a I was sure it was just my car that was affected

Hey Nick,
I'm starting to think it's wind noise, possibly caused by my wind deflectors

. I'm running 19in run flats. I only hear it at higher speeds. I'm not sure I'd describe it as a trumpeting or a hollow roar. The cabin is just loud, almost like something isn't quite sealed right. I would not attribute it to anything mechanical like a bearing. I need to get someone close by with an E70 to take a ride and see what they say. In the mean time, I'll continue to crank the volume on the tunes. On a good note, the stereo is much better than the one in the E53.
