So I dropped the 6er off to have miscellaneous things done under warranty. Little things like trim pieces that had scratched or scuffed. But one item was that for some reason iDrive would 'freeze' every now and again.

I found out from the tech working on my car at Russell BMW today that VOB had crimped one of the main wires for iDrive when installing my iPod adapter. This 'crimp' is what was causing the short.

Nice, at least Russell BMW does their job right
