Shuffle - can be done...it will not handled by the DICE but by the head unit.

1. Ipod playing through DICE
2. Press CD2 and choose a playlist
3. Press CD1 to put the DICE in song selection mode so the head unit can choose the songs within the playlist
4. Press the "Select" button to enter the Select menu (Music Select, Scan, Random, FF/Reverse)
5. Turn the right hand knob and highlight "Random"
6. Press the knob to choose "Random"
7. Press the Mode button to return to the normal screen or wait for the menu to timeout back to the normal screen
8. Notice "RND" in the upper right of the screen

Random is engaged and will play the songs within the playlist randomly. You may advance to the next random song with the control button (< >) or the steering wheel control up/down buttons.

However, if you press another CD button to change to playlist or artist or album, Random will be turned off and you will have to go back into the Select menu and activate it. Same holds true if you power off the X5 and power back on.
