Talking A day in the life without the geek squad.

Finally broke down and bought a series 2 TIVO HD. (Nevermind the smart cracks )

Setup went fine with a few small hitches (buy another cable) get a Tivo wireless adaptor from Amazon cause best buy was almost twice as much. Then the computer stuff mainly restart this, install Toast Tivo transfer, then restart TIVO again.

I decided to go the Tivo route because i just didn't want the hassle of changing providers, installing 2 dishes on the roof and the finding out i didn't like it. Besides we don't watch that much TV anyhow so we still have basic cable until we make the move for a flat screen then it's digital all the way baby.

But has anyone noticed that with every step a person makes to embrace technology he faces a learning curve that gets more difficult along the way? I'm told setting up a flat screen can be a nightmare so I'm really looking forward to that challenge.

I finally got Mac Leopard Time Machine working and i believe it may have been a dumb mistake on my part that prevented it's use. I'm just glad i didn't have to call the geek squad.

Am i really as dumb as a rock? Or are the technology gremlins out to get us all? ........
