Best Buy has this one: Sony - BRAVIA 40" 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV for $1,199.99
Here is a good link comparing LCD to Plasma TV's.

I have a 42" Panasonic Viera plasma. It is a really good bang for the buck HDTV selling at most retailers for under $1,000. It was recommeded to me by a friend who owns a home theater/home security company. It is not 1080p, but unless you are viewing Blue-Ray or HD-DVD's I am not sure how many cable or dish programs are actually broadcast in that high of quality yet.
