I have NEVER messed with cars so far. Would it be easy enough for me to figure this out if I decide to DIY this one? I wouldn't want to spend $700 for labor. I just ran out of my extended warranty on my car ( one month ago). Also, what does CCA mean? Any help and any more details on this problem are very much appreciated.

Thanks to gregwx5's very good instructions, I replaced my driver's side carrier today. Everything went fairly smooth, except I had some probs lining up the bolt that holds the lock cylinder to the carrier. Unfortunately it looks like I busted the pass. side carrier too when our weather in Calgary hit -50 deg. Celsius a week or so ago.
As long as you follow the instructions to a tee, everything should go smooth. Just make sure you're careful when popping the door clips, disconnecting all the harnesses and inner door handle cable.You can also unbolt and disconnect the airbag and set it aside instead of leaving it hanging. Just make sure you don't turn the ignition on until you have reconnected the airbag harness. You can leave it disconnected for any amount of time and you won't get an airbag light as long as you plug it back in before you switch on the ignition.
