I was one of those affected; roughly 3:30pm to 10:30pm last night. Yes, the BB Pearl would have been affected too.

I don't agree with the original post. RIM may know why it happened --- they just haven't publized the reason yet. The large company that I work for is a big user of BB's and is waiting for the root cause analysis from RIM.
