Hello all... first time post here.

I have a 2001 X5 and everytime I put it in reverse the PDC sounds off. I did a search and while I can't confirm it I'm going to assume it's a bad sensor or sensors. At a hundred bucks a piece I'm not too sure I want to fix this but I really would like to not have to listen to that beep or have to turn it off everytime I back up.

How do you get them out of the bumper or the bumper cover?

Are there cost effective alternatives to factory units?

Can you simply disable the PDC?
