hi there! what was the mileage when you changed yours? And how long ago was it? Been wanting to change mine, too scared of what the outcome might be, especially hearing things about it. My x still drives like new and shifts fine though. Please advise.

Esso is fine, that's what I use. Mine feels the same after flush with Esso.
Does the 01 has reset Trans like the newer bimmer (turn key on, engine off and gas pedal to floor for 30 sec thing?).
